Matt was born and raised near Selmer, TN in a small town of less than 1,000 people. He is currently finishing his BFA in Theatre from the University of Memphis, where his credits include Much Ado About Nothing, Parade, Noises Off, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, As You Like It (Ostrander Nomination), Assassins, and Animal Farm (Ostrander Award), as well as Musical Director for the first non-equity production of tick, tick... Boom! Matt is the author of a few short plays, including Snow White: A Fractured Fairy-Tale and An American Parable (SETC 10-minute Playwriting Festival). In addition, he has composed music for the original play Driving Around in Troikas, as well as underscoring for the silent short play The Umbrella Maker. Matt is still working on the music, lyrics, and book for his musical True Love Stalks(!). Sorry guys, I haven't finished it yet!
