LaVita Brooks was born on January 24, 1976 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was raised by her paternal grandparents, who provided her with love and stability. As a child, she knew that she needed acting as a creative outlet. The stages at Magnolia Elementary, Airways Jr. High, and Hamilton High Schools were the canvas for her art. She has earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with an Acting Concentration from The University of Memphis and is an alumni of Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts. Film is a passion for her. There are several independent films, major productions, commercials, and print jobs for Keebler Townhouse and Black Enterprise Magazine on her resume.
